kill standards                                                   A mobility kill (M‑Kill) destroys one or more of the vehicle's vital drive components such as breaks a track on a tank. An M‑Kill does not always destroy the weapon system and crew; they may continue to function.

A catastrophic kill (K‑Kill) destroys the weapon system, crew, or both (source unknown, but see next entry); Kill standard classifications include the following (FM 3‑22.1:

Mobility Kill. A mobility kill (M‑Kill) prevents a vehicle from moving under its own power.

Firepower Kill. A firepower kill prevents a vehicle from using its weapon systems.

Mobility and Firepower Kill. A combined mobility and firepower kill makes the vehicle non‑combat‑effective.

Catastrophic Kill. A catastrophic kill (K‑Kill) destroys the weapon system, crew, or both)
